vyāsa uvāca |
ekākī nirdhanaścaiva balahīnaḥ sudarśanaḥ |
vanavāsī phalāhārastasyāścitte susaṃsthitā ||

Vyâsa said:-- Thus that King's son, Sudars’ana, though helpless, and living in a forest on roots and fruits, deprived of wealth, power, and army, began to reign in the heart of that princess.
