putrī sutastu me bālo bhakṣārthī rodate bhṛśam |
tāvanmātraṃ gṛhe nānnaṃ muṣṭimekāṃ dadāmyaham ||

I have many sons; I have not got any food, sufficient enough to give them even a handful of rice.
