visarjito yato gehādgato bālo rudanmayā |
ato me dahyate'tyarthaṃ kiṃ karomi dhanaṃ vinā ||

Alas! My youngest son was crying today for food; I have driven him out of the house by chastising him. O Brâhmin! What am I do? I have got no wealth; my heart is burning with grief and sorrow; my baby has gone out of the house, weeping and hungry.
