Devibhagavatapurana 4.11.38

4.11.38

śaraṇaṃ dānavā jagmurbhītāste kāvyamātaram |
dṛṣṭvā tānatisantaptānabhayaṃ ca dadāvatha ||

And they took refuge under the S’ukrâchârya’s mother. She saw the Daityas very much fearstricken and at once guaranteed to them protection from fear.
