kāvyena bahudhā tatra bodhitāḥ kila dānavāḥ |
bubudhurna gurormāyāmohitāḥ kālaparyayāt ||

The real S’ukrâchârya, then explained them as much as he could; but the Daityas, owing to the magic of the false S’ukrâchârya and to the wonderful effect of time, did not hear his words.
