prahlāda uvāca |
staumi devīṃ mahāmāyāṃ sṛṣṭisthityantakāriṇīm |
sarveṣāṃ jananīṃ śaktiṃ bhaktānāmabhayaṅkarīm ||

Prahlâda said “I will worship the Goddess Mahâmâyâ, the Creatrix, Preservrix and Destructrix of the Universe, the World Mother, and the Assurer of safety to Her devotees.”
