śukle caturthikāyāṃ vai yo'nnaṃ bhuṅkte mahāmune |
māṃsāhārī mato nūnaṃ tathā bhavati nārakī ||
He who eats food on the fourth day of the bright fortnight, O great sage, / is surely considered a meat-eater and becomes a dweller in hell.
