kuryādvedākṣarasyāyaṃ na kuryācchravaṇaṃ kadā |
purāṇādiṣu devānāmavatārāḥ prakīrtitāḥ ||
He should do this; he must never listen to the syllables of the Veda. / The incarnations of the gods are proclaimed in the purāṇas and other works.
