svargeṣu sthāpitā devā narāḥ pṛthvyāṃ mayā tathā |
asurā vivareṣvevaṃ trividhaṃ triṣu saṃsthitam ||
The gods were placed in heavens, and men on earth by me likewise, / and the asuras in subterranean realms: thus the threefold resides in the three.
