yadi tvaṃ śuciḥ satī śaracchatam imaṃ garbhaṃ dhārayiṣyasi tataś ca mahendradarpahantā putro bhaviṣyati |
ity evam uktā sā ca taṃ garbhaṃ dhārayām_asa ||
"If you, remaining pure, bear this fetus for a hundred autumns, then a son will be born who will destroy the pride of Mahendra." / Addressed thus, she too carried that fetus.
