indro 'pi taj jñātvā vṛddhabrāhmaṇarūpeṇāgatya ditipārśvaṃ sthitavān |
kiṃcid ūnapūrṇe varṣaśate pādaśaucam akṛtvā ditiḥ śayanam āruhya nidrāṃ gatā ||
Indra, having learned of that, came in the form of an old brāhmaṇa and stayed beside Diti. / When a hundred years were nearly complete, Diti climbed onto her bed and went to sleep without washing her feet.
