sūta uvāca:
tathaiva kalpāvasāne niśāsuptotthitaḥ prabhuḥ
sattvodriktas tadā brahmā śūnyaṃ lokam avaikṣata //

Sūta said: / In that very way, at the end of the cosmic age, the Lord, having awakened from his sleep during the night, / Brahmā, filled with sattva, then beheld an empty world.
