3.27

navamo rudrasargas tu nava sargāḥ prajāpateḥ
pañcaite vaikṛtāḥ sargāḥ prākṛtās te trayaḥ smṛtāḥ
prākṛto vaikṛtaś caiva kaumāro navamaḥ smṛtaḥ //

and the ninth is the creation of Rudra. These are the nine creations of the Lord of creatures. / Five are the modified creations, and three are remembered as primary; / and the ninth is remembered as the Kaumāra, which is both primary and modified.
