matsyāśvaprakarāścaiva kūrmagrāhādayo 'pi vā /
putrotpattau ca hṛṣyanti vipattau yānti duḥkhitām //
Herds of fish and horses, or even turtles, alligators, and the like,
rejoice at the birth of a child and fall into sorrow at his misfortune.
