mātāpitṛkṛtairdoṣairanye kecitsvakarmajaiḥ /
naṣṭā jñānāvalepena ahaṅkāreṇa 'pare //
Some are ruined by the faults committed by their mother and father, others by their own actions; / some by the pride of knowledge, and others by egotism.
