tato 'bhavadanāvṛṣṭirlokakṣayakarī tadā /
yayā yātaṃ jagatsarvaṃ kṣayaṃ bhūyo hi dāruṇam //

Then a drought occurred, bringing about the destruction of the worlds,
by which the whole world suffered a dreadful and recurring destruction.
