ye pūrvamiha saṃsiddhā ṛṣayo vedapāragāḥ /
teṣāṃ prabhāvād bhagavān vavarṣa balavṛtrahā //
The ṛṣis who were formerly perfected here, who had crossed to the end of the Vedas—
by their spiritual power, the blessed slayer of Bala and Vṛtra rained.
