gate cādarśanaṃ deve dahyamāno hutāśanaḥ /
gaṅgātoye vinikṣipya jagāma svaṃniveśanam //
And when the god had vanished, Fire, burning intensely, / cast it into the water of the Gaṅgā and went to his own abode.
