daivatebhyo 'tha bhūtebhyaścaturbhāgaṃ kṣipāmyaham /
evaṃ muktvā kṣipaccaino jalopari mahāmatiḥ //
I divide into four parts among deities and creatures." / Having spoken thus, the wise one cast a part of the sin upon the water.
