evamuktvāpatadbhūmau liṅgamāliṅgya bhārata /
gatasattvaḥ sa viprendraḥ samāśritya sureśvaram //
Having spoken thus, embracing the liṅga, he fell to the ground, O descendant of Bharata; / his vital breath spent, that foremost of brāhmaṇas took refuge in the Lord of gods.
