śrīmārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
narmadādakṣiṇe kūle nāgatīrthamanuttamam /
yatra siddhā mahānāgā bhaye jāte tato nṛpa //

Œrģ Mārkaᅇကeya said: / On the southern bank of the Narmadā is the peerless Nāgatģrtha, / where the great nāgas attained perfection, O king, when fear arose.
