saṃhāraṃ sarvabhūtānāṃ rudratve kurute prabhuḥ /
viṣṇutve pālayellokānbrahmatve sṛṣṭikārakaḥ //
The lord performs the destruction of all beings in the state of Rudra, / he protects the worlds in the state of Viṣṇu, and is the author of creation in the state of Brahmā.
