upaplave candramaso raveśca yo hyaṣṭakānāmayanadvaye ca /
pānīyamapyatra tilairvimiśraṃ dadyāt pitṛbhyaḥ prayato manuṣyaḥ //
During an eclipse of the moon and of the sun, and indeed on the aṣṭakās and during the two solstices, / a restrained man should offer even water mixed with sesame seeds here to the ancestors.
