śrīmārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
uttare narmadākūle tīrthaṃ paramaśobhanam /
jayavārāhamāhātmyaṃ sarvapāpapraṇāśanam //
Śrī Mārkaṇḍeya said:
On the northern bank of the Narmadā is a most splendid pilgrimage place,
the glorification of Jayavārāha, which destroys all sins.
