śrīmārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
śṛṇuṣvāvahito bhūtvā hyādityeśvaramuttamam /
uttare narmadākūle sarvavyādhivināśanam //

Śrī Mārkaṇḍeya said:
Listen attentively to [the account of] the supreme Ādityeśvara
on the northern bank of the Narmadā, which destroys all diseases.
