pramathānāṃ ninādena kalkalena ca bandinām /
yasmātpratiṣṭhitaṃ liṅgaṃ tasmājjātaṃ tadākhyayā //
because the liṅga was established amidst the roar of the pramathas and the clamor of the bards, / it became known by that name [Kalakaleśvara].
