gadgado 'nṛtavādī syānmūkaścaiva gavānṛte /
brahmahā jāyate kuṣṭhī śyāvadantastu madyapaḥ //

A liar becomes a stammerer, and one who lies regarding cattle becomes mute;
a killer of a brāhmaṇa is born a leper, and a drinker of liquor has black teeth.
