kunakhī svarṇaharaṇād duḥścarmā gurutalpagaḥ /
saṃyogī hīnayoniḥ syād daridro 'dattadānataḥ //

One who steals gold gets deformed nails; one who defiles the guru's bed gets diseased skin;
one who has illicit intercourse is born from a base womb; one who gives no gifts becomes poor.
