saptadvīpapramāṇastu so 'gnirbhūtvā maheśvaraḥ /
saptadvīpasamudrāntāṃ nirdadāha vasuṃdharām //
Maheśvara, becoming that fire equal in measure to the seven continents, / burned the earth up to the oceans of the seven continents.
