gāyatrījāpyamātras tu vedatrayaphalaṃ labhet /
kulakoṭiśataṃ sāgraṃ labhate tu śivārcanāt //
By merely muttering the Gāyatrī, he obtains the fruit of the three Vedas; / and from worshipping Śiva, he redeems fully a hundred crores of ancestors in his family.
