īśvara uvāca:
kopayasva dvijaśreṣṭhaṃ gatvā tvaṃ bhṛgusattamam /
yena me śraddadhatyeṣā gaurī lokaikasundarī //
Īśvara said: / "Go and anger that best of the twice-born, the most excellent Bhṛgu, / so that this Gaurī, the sole beauty of the world, may trust my [words]."
