tato dṛṣṭvā ca taṃ śambhuṃ bhṛguḥ śreṣṭhaṃ trilocanam /
jānubhyām avaniṃ gatvā idaṃ stotram udairayat //

Then, seeing that Śambhu, the supreme three-eyed lord, / Bhṛgu touched the earth with his knees and uttered this hymn of praise:
