tapasā mahatā pārtha tatastuṣṭo maheśvaraḥ /
uvāca vacanaṃ kāle harṣayan bhṛgusattamam //
Through his great asceticism, O son of Pṛthā, Maheśvara was pleased,
and spoke a word in due time, gladdening the best of the Bhṛgus:
