navaṣaṭ ca tathā tisrastatra tīrthe nṛpottama /
āpohiṣṭheti trirāvṛtya pratigrāhair na lipyate //
Nine, six, or three [times] at that pilgrimage place, O best of kings, / repeating 'āpo hi ṣṭhā' thrice, one is not tainted by gifts received.
