tryāpaṃ hi kurute vipra ullekhatrayam ācaret /
caturthaṃ kārayed yas tu brahmahatyāṃ vyapohati //
A Brahmin who performs three water-offerings should perform three drawings [of water]; / he who performs a fourth removes the sin of killing a Brahmin.
