tatra tīrthe tapastaptvā śikhārthaṃ havyavāhanaḥ /
śikhāṃ prāpya śikhī bhūtvā śikhākhyaṃ sthāpayañchivam //
Performing austerities at that pilgrimage place for the sake of a crest,
the carrier of oblations, having obtained a crest and having become crest-bearing [Fire], installed the Śiva called Śikhin.
