kārttike śuklapakṣasya caturdaśyāmupoṣitaḥ /
svarṇadānācca tattīrthe yajñasya labhate phalam //
Having fasted on the fourteenth day of the bright fortnight of Kārttika,
and from the gift of gold at that pilgrimage place, one obtains the fruit of sacrifice.
