gatvā parārthaṃ tīrthādau ṣoḍaśāṃśaphalaṃ labhet /
gacchataśca prasaṅgena tīrthamarddhaphalaṃ smṛtam //
Having gone to a pilgrimage place or the like on behalf of another, one obtains a sixteenth of the fruit; / but for one going to a pilgrimage place incidentally, half of the fruit is traditionally recognized.
