228.2

mārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
parārthaṃ gacchatastanme vadataḥ śṛṇu pārthiva /
yathā yāvatphalaṃ tasya yātrādivihitaṃ bhavet //

Mārkaṇḍeya said: / Hear from me speaking of one who goes on behalf of another, O ruler of the earth, / how and how much the fruit of pilgrimage and other rites would be ordained for him.
