evamuktvā mahābhāgo bāṇo bhaktimatāṃ varaḥ /
stotreṇa devadeveśaṃ chandayāmāsa bhārata //
Having spoken thus, the illustrious Bāṇa, best among the devoted, / pleased the God of gods with a hymn of praise, O descendant of Bharata.
