etatsaṃkṣepataḥ sarvaṃ saṃkṣiptaṃ tairmahātmabhiḥ /
vibhaktaṃ ca caturbhāgair brahmādyaiśca maharṣibhiḥ //
All this was briefly abridged by those great souls,
and divided into four parts by Brahmā and the other great ṛṣis.
