viṣṇustu pitṛrūpeṇa brahmarūpī pitāmahaḥ /
prapitāmaho rudro 'bhūdevaṃ tripuruṣāḥ sthitāḥ //
Viṣṇu indeed stands in the form of the father, the grandfather in the form of Brahmā, / and the great-grandfather has become Rudra: thus the three ancestors stand.
