dānava uvāca:
sthīyatāṃ devadeveśa yāvajjñāsyāmi te varam /
yuṣmanmūrdhni nyase pāṇiṃ pratyayo me bhavedyathā //
The dānava said:
“Wait, O Lord of the gods of gods, until I test your boon!
I shall place my hand upon your head, so that I may be convinced.”
