maṇināga uvāca:
atra sthāne mahādeva sthīyatāmaṃśabhāgataḥ /
sahasrāṃśena bhāgena sthīyatāṃ narmadājale /
upakārāya lokānāṃ mama nāmnaiva śaṅkara //
Maṇināga said: / "O Mahādeva, abide in this place through a fraction of your portion; / abide in the water of the Narmadā with a thousandth part, / for the benefit of the worlds, under my very name, O Śaṅkara."
