vṛṣalīmandire yasya mahiṣīṃ yastu pālayet /
sa vipro dūratastyājyo vrate śrāddhe narādhipa //
He in whose house there is a śūdra woman, or he who tends a buffalo cow— / that brāhmaṇa should be avoided from afar in vows and śrāddhas, O ruler of men.
