īśvara uvāca:
tava bhaktigṛhīto 'hamumayā saha toṣitaḥ /
niṣpāpaḥ somanāthastvaṃ saṃjātastīrthasevanāt //

Īśvara said:
"I have been won over by your devotion; together with Umā, I am pleased.
Free of sin, you have become Somanātha through resorting to this pilgrimage place."
