soma uvāca:
dakṣaśāpena dagdho 'haṃ kṣīṇasattvo maheśvara /
śāpasyopaśamaṃ deva kuru śarma mama prabho //

Soma said:
"Burned by Dakṣa's curse, my vital strength has waned, O Maheśvara.
Bring about the pacification of the curse, O Lord; grant me welfare, O Master!"
