ṛcā ṛgvedajaṃ puṇyaṃ sāmnā sāmaphalaṃ labhet /
yajurvedasya yajuṣā gāyatryā sarvamāpnuyāt //
With a Ṛc verse one obtains the religious merit born of the Ṛgveda; with a Sāman, the fruit of the Sāmaveda; / with a Yajus, [the fruit] of the Yajurveda; with the Gāyatrī, one attains everything.
