remain established, O Ruler of Gods; be gracious, O Supreme Sovereign Lady! O Goddess, remain established!' / Then one should perform the six-limbed placement on the body of the goddess—such is the making whole. Reciting the root mantra, one should perform immortalization with the cow ritual hand-gesture. Then with the darting-tongue ritual hand-gesture, one should perform the placement of life-breath as follows: 'Āṃ hrīṃ krauṃ yaṃ raṃ laṃ vaṃ śaṃ ṣaṃ saṃ haṃ oṃ kṣaṃ saṃ haṃsaḥ hrīṃ oṃ haṃsaḥ—the life-breaths of Caṇḍikā are the life-breaths here. Sīpping water, svadhā.' / The root mantra: 'Divine, removing the three afflictions, characterized by supreme bliss, / free from the three afflictions, I prepare this new water offering. / O Goddess, this is the water offering for You, svāhā.' / The root mantra: 'For Her who is devoid of all stain, whose self is completely full bliss, / I prepare this honey-mixture, O goddess; be pleased with me. Honey-mixture, nectar.' / 'Even if one is polluted or impure, through the mere remembrance of whom one attains purity, for Her is this second water for sipping. / O Goddess, this is water for sipping for You, nectar.' / Now he speaks of the occasions for rinsing the mouth: at the end of bathing, cloth, and sacred thread,
