jātopyalpaparicchade kṣitibhujāṃ sāmānyamātre kule
niḥśeṣāvanicakravartipadavīṃ labdhvā pratāponnataḥ .
yadvidyādharavṛndavanditapadaḥ śrīvatsarājo'bhavad
devi ! tvaccaraṇāmbujapraṇatijaḥ so'yaṃ prasādodayaḥ .. 12 ..

Though born in an ordinary family of kings, with modest possessions, / having attained the rank of sovereign emperor over the whole earth, elevated in majesty, / King Śrīvatsarāja became one whose feet were worshipped by hosts of learned men: / O Goddess, this was the dawn of your grace born from bowing to your lotus feet! || 12
